Getting Started with Moodle 

The Getting Started with Moodle workshop will give faculty who are new to Moodle (or who need a refresher) an introduction to Colgate’s learning management system. Moodle provides an online platform for managing learning content and facilitating communication in your course. We will discuss how the use of Moodle in a course can enhance teaching and learning. The session will provide an overview of basic Moodle functionality so that faculty can set up their courses. Participants will also be introduced to additional features in Moodle, such as the creation, collection and assessment of assignments, activities such as quizzes and discussion boards and communication features. Participants will be encouraged to participate hands-on and apply the skills on their Moodle course(s) during the workshop. There will be time to ask questions. If you have a laptop, please bring it with you.  Topics include:
